We are excited to announce the launch of a new Adult Bible Study here at FBC Westwego. The new class will be held on Wednesday nights from 6:30PM to 7:30PM and will be led by Pastor Jay. The class will cover a range of topics including walk-throughs of books of the Bible, character studies, and topical studies. This is an incredible opportunity for anyone who is looking for a deeper understanding of the Bible and wanting to go farther in their personal faith journeys. This is not an opportunity to be missed!
Conveniently for our members, the meeting time of this new class coincides with our weekly Student Worship Services, which meet on Wednesday nights 6:00PM-8:00PM. This means that adults who are dropping off their middle schoolers and high schoolers on Wednesday nights at 6PM can hang around for the adult study and then pick their students up at 8PM. This eliminates the need for a family to make two different trips to church during the week for midweek Bible study.
This class is highly recommended for several reasons. Personal Bible study is an indispensable part of any Christ follower’s life that should not be skipped. Just as it would not make sense to try to nourish your body physically by eating only one meal per week on Sunday mornings, neither can you expect to be nourished spiritually by only being exposed to the Word of God one day per week on Sunday morning. All believers should be engaging in a regular (i.e. daily) personal Bible study time, while also remaining on the lookout for opportunities such as this Wednesday night class to study under qualified teachers who are striving to proclaim the Bible faithfully and help them understand it better.
